I finally finished the safari quilt that has been a ufo for faaarrrrr too long! Yippee!!!

Debbie's Women's Voices

Show and Tell this week included Debbie's "Women's Voices" quilt top! It was good that we got a picture. She often takes her tops back to the states to be quilted so we don't always see them again.

Under the microscope

Someone, who will remain nameless, actually got a magnifying glass out to check my stitches on these pieces. Thankfully, I am using silk thread which gives me more room for imperfections that don't show. This A7 is just a practice piece for the applique and reverse applique techniques I think I am going to use. I am pretty sure I am going to stick with the Kona Snow in these pictures and then use batiks for the "real" Dear Jane blocks.

Dear Jane Preemies

The Preemie Group begins this week! Out of extreme respect for the original Dear Jane (and also for the fully developed Baby Janes,) we have elected to call our projects Preemie Janes since they will likely be underdeveloped and need lots of extra love and attention. We will be making two practice blocks: A7 and F7! The journey begins!
